CIFR STUDENT LEARNING

Privacy policy

How we handle your student account, saved learning and review evidence.

Updated 18 October 2026

Your account and saved learning

CIFR student learning uses Clerk for sign-in and account management. Your CIFR account works on cifr.org.in and quantum.cifr.org.in. When you use Google sign-in, Google shares your basic identity information, including your name, email address and profile picture, with Clerk.

The learning service saves your account identifier, enrollment, optional profile information, practice inputs, experiment receipts, progress and submitted evidence in a DigitalOcean PostgreSQL database. Vercel hosts the website and its application services. These providers may process data outside your country.

Practice and review records

Practice answers, explanations and tutor conversations are associated with your account. Evidence you submit for review can be accessed by authorized reviewers assigned to that work. Submitted evidence, review decisions and appeals are retained as versioned records to preserve the review history; editing a later version does not erase an earlier submission.

Practice completion does not establish independent competence. Credentials and approved scientific publication are not enabled for this preview.

AI assistance

If the AI tutor is enabled and you ask it a question, the service sends your question, recent conversation, relevant lesson content, prediction and experiment context to OpenAI. The request disables provider response storage. Tutor replies are practice guidance and can be wrong. They do not award grades or credentials. Do not submit confidential information, personal information about other people, or material you are not permitted to share.

Browser storage and operational records

Clerk uses browser storage and cookies to maintain sign-in. The learning interface also uses browser session storage for view preferences. Saved account progress is stored on the server so it can be resumed after signing in again. Operational records can include request times, status and service errors.

Existing QuantumGridOS accounts

Existing LearnQuantum records and paid services remain on learn.quantumgridos.com under its privacy policy. Connecting accounts requires signing in to both services. Matching email addresses alone does not connect accounts. Existing records and paid entitlements are preserved.

Profile, exports and requests

Use the account menu to manage your Clerk profile and sign-in options. The learning workspace provides an export of saved practice evidence. For questions or requests about access, correction or deletion of learning records, contact hello@energymap.in. Removing a sign-in account does not itself remove the separate learning and review records; include those records in your request. Do not send passwords or verification codes.
